Computer drafting and design were my original career path until 1989 when I discover fiber art. Since that time, I have joined fiber groups and taken classes in various forms of fiber arts. After taking my first felting class, I knew I had found my niche. Studying with felting instructors and masters of felting in US and abroad still leaves me in awe of the fabulous pieces that can be created by hand, not mechanically. Felt pieces, though planned, take on a life of their own through the creative process, and you are just the instrument, manipulating the materials. At this time in my life, I teach felting, run a homebased processing mill for fiber, and create fiber pieces. My work is at Blue Stem at Columbia, Missouri and Columbia and St. Louis guild sales in November each year. For 8 years I have been in charge of the travelling exhibition from Missouri fiber artists. My pieces have been exhibited in galleries in Wisconsin, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Missouri.
